Dan Zubris, Sociology professor at UBC, has written a book, Differences that Matter, comparing the working poor in Vancouver, BC and the working poor in Seattle.  He concludes that Vancouver is still a great place to live and work.  We should not gloat too much though.  What makes us great is easily eroded.  Check out Crawford Killian’s review over at Tyee.
