I have looked into this one and I’m sorry to report that the problem is indeed at our end. Lately we have been getting many trackback, comment, referrer and blog spammers hammering our system. Our anti-spam measures inadvertantly identified overactive feed robots and blocked a couple of ip addresses of these robots.
Sorry for the delay in working on this. We have just installed our new servers at a $130m colocation facility over the past two days. We have our heads down on doing the cutover to the new servers. We expect this to happen on Monday / Tuesday when we will work on correcting this issue.
The move to the new servers should improve the performance greatly and we have redesigned the architecture which will put us in a position to slot in additional servers when we need them.
I know that this has inconvenienced many. Sorry for this disruption.
